As the APAC Regional Technology Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape for one of the fastest-growing regions in our global business. This is a strategic leadership position where you’ll define and execute a roadmap that unifies diverse technology stacks across APAC under Arc’teryx’s global strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to build processes and structures that don’t yet exist, influence regional business decisions, and act as a trusted technology partner to senior leaders. This role is based out of our Tokyo office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Japan.

Meet Your Future Team:
You’ll join the Arc’teryx Technology organization, a global team dedicated to delivering secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions that enable operational excellence and exceptional customer experiences. Together, we partner with business leaders to align technology strategy with growth objectives across retail, e-commerce, and regional operations.

If you were in the Director, APAC Technology role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Leading all technology operations across APAC, including IT support, cybersecurity, vendor management, and store technology setups
  • Building a deep understanding of existing technology stacks across APAC and aligning them with Arc’teryx’s global strategy
  • Managing and mentoring regional technology teams and supporting Country Technology Leaders
  • Acting as a liaison between APAC business leadership and global technology teams to ensure strategic alignment
  • Overseeing incident response processes, service management, and operational excellence initiatives

  • Creating and executing a unified technology roadmap for all APAC countries
  • Driving regional adoption of global commerce platforms and enterprise systems
  • Establishing best-in-class cybersecurity and compliance practices tailored to APAC regulations
  • Leading technology integration for new store openings and market expansions
  • Building a high-performing regional technology team and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration

Are you our next Director, APAC Technology?

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in regional or global roles
  • Proven ability to manage IT operations, cybersecurity, and vendor relationships across APAC markets
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods industries, with exposure to store technology setups
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, SAP, global commerce technologies (Adobe, Salesforce), and privacy regulations
  • Exceptional project management, strategic thinking, and communication skills
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other APAC languages is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration (MBA or relevant certifications like CISSP, ITIL are a plus)
  • Ability to travel within APAC and occasionally to global headquarters
  • A proactive mindset, adaptability in ambiguous situations, and a passion for delivering technology solutions that enable business growth
