Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.

We are looking for an experienced data leader to guide our business intelligence team aligned to CFO Org (Finance, Accounting, Workplaces, and Legal). This isn't just a management role though, it's for a leader who can bridge the gap between high-level strategy and hands-on execution. You are a leader who has the heart of a practitioner and loves to write code, but who also has a passion for the big picture and solving business problems. You have a bias for action and a talent for bringing structure, clarity, and simplicity to complex, ambiguous problems. You're passionate about driving business value and are ready to engage with executives and leaders from across the company to shape the financial future of our rapidly growing organization.

This role requires in-person attendance in our Menlo Park, CA office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As the Director, Analytics, Data & AI, you will be the strategic data partner for our CFO organization, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, actionable insights that drive business decisions at scale.

  • Strategic Leadership & Team Growth

    • Serve as the primary BI partner to executive leadership and senior stakeholders from the CFO org.

    • Develop and drive a clear, forward-thinking AI strategy for the CFO org.

    • Grow and mentor the BI team, enhancing their ability to support AI use cases while also using AI to streamline and accelerate analytics workflows.

  • Execution & Operational Excellence

    • Own and elevate the data support for our mission-critical quarterly reporting and earnings cycle.

    • Partner with leads across the Data, AI, and Analytics (DAA) organization to build out a Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (CoE), evolving our BI practice to meet the demands of a complex, global enterprise.

    • Provide robust analytical support for routine financial planning.

  • Innovation & Customer Advocacy

    • Showcase Snowflake's power by leading conversations with customers on how we leverage our own product internally to drive our business.

    • Deliver human-centered AI capabilities and enterprise-grade reporting that set the standard for excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

We need a leader who can bridge the gap between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.

  • Required Qualifications

    • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics, preferably at a fast-paced technology company.

    • Top-notch communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with senior executives and drive effective decision-making.

    • Extensive experience with MPP data platforms, and at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with Snowflake.

    • Advanced proficiency using SQL for complex data transformation and analyses, with direct experience standardizing queries and architecting large-scale relational datasets.

    • Intermediate proficiency using Python for data pipeline development, application development (using tools like Streamlit), or for data science

  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Direct experience working in or supporting finance and accounting teams.

    • Familiarity with large-scale ERP platforms used for financial planning and reporting.
