About this role
We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded, and execution-focused product manager to join our Aladdin Product Management team as Director, Wealth Management Technology. This leader will drive the vision, product strategy, technology roadmap, and delivery of technology wealth management industry, supporting discretionary-managed portfolios, advisory propositions, and execution-only account offerings.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in wealth management technology, a strong understanding of industry platforms and operating models, strong understanding of wealth client profiles, be fluent in the key players in the wealth management ecosystem, and a proven ability to translate complex market, client, regulatory, and technology requirements into scalable product solutions. We are seeking a senior professional with a consistent track record identifying business opportunities, shaping product strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering commercial outcomes for financial technology platforms.
This role requires a highly technical product leader who can operate at the intersection of wealth management, investment technology, data, and AI-enabled product development. The successful candidate will be expected to help define the future vision of Aladdin’s wealth technology with a view to transform the way wealth managers construct portfolios, deliver advice, manage client accounts, and scale operating models.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and evolve the long-term product strategy for wealth management technology capabilities, demonstrating deep expertise across the wealth management and advisor ecosystem, including investment and management platforms (Charles River Wealth, InvestCloud APL, Envestnet), core banking (Avaloq, Temenos), infrastructure and operations (Archer, FNZ, SEI).
- Translate market trends, client needs, competitor dynamics, platform capabilities, and regulatory requirements into a clear product roadmap supporting discretionary managed portfolios, advisory services, model portfolio delivery, and execution-only account offerings.
- Bring deep understanding of the wealth management constructs across discretionary managed portfolios, advisory services, execution-only propositions, managed accounts, model management, portfolio construction, rebalancing, restrictions, suitability, trading, tax optimisation, and client reporting.
- Bring deep understanding of various operating models across the industry, including distributor-led, IM-led, advisor-led, platform-led, and digital models.
- Embed AI explicitly into product strategy formation, roadmap definition, prioritization, and execution. Leverage AI to improve product discovery, client research, requirements definition, backlog prioritization, workflow automation, and decision-making discipline.
- Identify opportunities to use API-led architecture to integrate with wealth management platforms, core banking systems, CRM tools, portfolio management systems, order management systems, custodians, and client-facing digital channels.
- Define product requirements that are technically robust, commercially scalable, and aligned with client operating models across different wealth segments and jurisdictions.
Execution & Delivery
- Lead cross-functional product squads to deliver roadmap priorities across wealth management workflows, including account setup, portfolio construction, proposal generation, suitability support, model management, rebalancing, order generation, trading integration, reporting, and analytics.
- Partner closely with engineering, UX/design, data, AI, architecture, implementation, relationship management and commercial teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product capabilities.
- Drive the adoption of AI-enabled product development practices, holding teams accountable for using AI to improve execution velocity, documentation quality, testing discipline, workflow automation, and operating efficiency while maintaining appropriate governance, risk, and control standards.
- Ensure the product is designed with flexibility, configurability, and interoperability in mind, enabling integration through APIs and support for a broad ecosystem of wealth management technology platforms.
Client & Partner Engagement
- Partner closely with Aladdin business development, relationship management, client implementation, and client success teams to drive engagement with wealth management clients and prospects.
- Act as a senior product representative in client conversations, helping articulate the product vision, roadmap, technical architecture, implementation approach, and commercial value proposition.
- Build strong relationships with wealth managers, private banks, advisory platforms, asset managers, technology vendors, custodians, and data providers to understand market needs and validate product opportunities.
- Collaborate with go-to-market, marketing, sales enablement, and implementation teams to support product launches, client pipeline development, revenue conversion, onboarding, and internal education.
- Represent the voice of the client and the market in product prioritization, ensuring the roadmap balances strategic ambition, commercial impact, technical feasibility, and delivery discipline.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in wealth management or wealth management technology, with meaningful exposure to wealth management platforms and operating models.
- Experience leading complex product initiatives from concept through launch, including discovery, requirements definition, roadmap planning, delivery management, go-to-market support, and post-launch iteration.
- Deep understanding of the wealth management constructs, including discretionary managed portfolios, advisory services, execution-only propositions, managed accounts, model management, portfolio construction, rebalancing, suitability, trading, tax optimisation, and client reporting.
- Familiarity with wealth management ecosystems, including technology platforms, investment management systems, advisor platforms, core banking platforms, portfolio management tools, order management systems, or custodial integrations.
- Experience applying AI, automation, or data-driven capabilities to improve product workflows, client outcomes, operational efficiency, or product development processes.
- Proven ability to engage senior executives, clients, engineering leaders, commercial teams, and implementation partners with credibility and clarity.
- Strong communication, leadership, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and drive alignment across diverse teams.
