The Director, Ad Sales, Finance will manage headcount planning, forecasting, reporting, and sales incentive plans across the ad sales organization. You’ll partner closely with HR and Senior Ad Sales leadership to align on strategy, staffing needs, and costs.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis & Daily Operations
Partner with HR and Sales leadership to manage position control, backfill requests, and organizational changes
Maintain accurate headcount data and labor-related costs in the financial system
Build and automate headcount reporting and dashboards for monthly business lead reporting and corporate submissions
Monthly Close
Perform monthly financial close, including expense accrual journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
Prepare monthly reporting and detailed variance analysis
Prepare variance drivers and commentary for executive reporting packages
Forecasting
Lead Budget/Forecast process for salary & related costs – Update models with labor-related costs; revise forecasts for monthly/quarterly submissions
Forecast and reconcile quarterly and annual bonus and commission expenses
Work closely with HR, Finance, and Business Leads to gather forecasting inputs/assumptions
Sales Incentive Comp Plan
Work with Senior Management to determine quarterly bonus targets and payments to the Sports, Entertainment & News Sales teams ensuring equity of treatment across plans
Ensure compensation plan is driving overall company objectives, and suggest any necessary adaptations
Engage with Legal and HR to document changes, handle exceptions, and execute with Sales
Work with Sales & Tech to facilitate use and understanding of Salesforce incentive plan tool
Assist in requirement gathering, implementation, and continued development of Salesforce incentive plan tool
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
·Accounting/Finance/Economics bachelor’s degree
8-10 years of experience in Public Accounting, Corporate Finance, or Investment Banking
Exceptional attention to detail, ability to produce high-quality deliverables
Comfortable working under tight deadlines
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
Ability and willingness to quickly adapt in a rapidly changing environment
High level of professionalism and the ability to communicate and interact with all staff levels
Strong Excel skills and ability to manipulate large data sets
Implement the use of internal AI tools to streamline processes and reporting

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $143,000.00-175,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
