JOB SUMMARY: The Program Manager provides leadership for the FSN program. The program has three lines of service: financial mentoring, financial education and tax return assistance (VITA). The Program Manager is accountable for the program’s fiscal, operational, administrative, personnel, development and quality activities. The position participates in strategic planning and development of services, and monitors performance goals against plan.

Supervisory Responsibility: Provides supervision of the volunteers (Ignatius, VISTA and FSN volunteers).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and oversee the operations and administrative functions of the FSN program. 
  • Participate in the planning, development and implementation of strategic plan for the FSN program, monitor performance goals against plan, and identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to volunteers, which includes recruiting, training, and professional development; conduct regular volunteer meetings; communicate policies and procedures; and facilitate team dynamics.
  • Foster strong collaboration with the Financial Stability Network Advisory Council and other key stakeholders to ensure that program strategy is in accord with the Agency’s overall strategy, goals, practices and procedures.
  • Manage program budget and expenditures to ensure that available funds and resources are used efficiently. 
  • Establish and implement development goals to ensure that resources are available to sustain the program.
  • Oversee and maintain quality program practices, ensuring compliance with best practice standards, contract grant requirements, and agency practices and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Certified Public Accountant or Attorney.  
  • 10 years of accounting or legal experience. 
  • 5 years’ supervisory experience. 

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of management principles and practices. 
  • Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
  • Ability to respond to and work effectively with community partners.

Work Schedule:  Part-Time, 24 hours/week. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 

Skills Required
