Halo is looking for a Director of Lifecycle Marketing to lead personalized marketing across the entire customer journey. You'll be accountable for customer retention, engagement, and lifetime value, delivered through data-driven lifecycle programs. Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Membership, you'll partner with Product, Data, Creative, and Customer Success to launch high-impact, multi-channel campaigns and continuously improve the customer experience.

This role is for you are a leader who does the day to day work of diving into massive amounts of meaningful data that goes beyond contact info and purchase history. In this role success will be found by those who want to re-build, scale and optimize a lifecycle program that supports our customers and their best friends (their dogs).

Responsibilities

Lifecycle Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy to maximize customer engagement, retention, and revenue throughout the customer journey.
  • Translate business objectives into lifecycle programs that drive measurable outcomes (e.g., member retention, customer lifetime value, and recurring revenue).
  • Design, implement, and oversee multi-channel campaigns (email, in-app, push, SMS), leveraging Braze and agency partners as needed.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, leading robust A/B and multivariate testing to optimize communications and accelerate learning.

Data-Driven Personalization & Optimization

  • Leverage proprietary and third-party data to identify customer trends, segment audiences, and deliver personalized, high-impact campaigns.
  • Analyze performance metrics to continuously improve strategy and results, reporting regularly on campaign performance with actionable insights for executive stakeholders.
  • Stay current on industry trends, CRM best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure a competitive edge.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with Data, Product, Creative, Customer Success, and Operations teams to ensure lifecycle programs are aligned, seamless, and customer-centric.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships with accountability for deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing, with a proven track record of driving measurable growth through multi-channel campaigns.
  • Expertise with customer engagement platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and strong knowledge of marketing automation best practices.
  • Highly analytical and strategic thinker, proficient with data analysis tools to query, analyze, and synthesize insights into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Creative teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing strategic priorities with detail-oriented, flawless execution.

We provide competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base salary, incentives, and benefits. The base salary for this role is $155,000 - $165,000. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.


 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
