JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Compensation Operations & Structures
Owns the Global Salary Structure (GSS) — range governance, annual update cycle, zone/geo structure design, and approval process across all markets.
Leads market pricing strategy and Payfactors alignment, ensuring parity and competitiveness across all areas of the business. Analyzes data for market trends.
Oversees job architecture and job catalog consistency — career framework development, global job matching, grade alignment, and job code governance.
Establishes process governance: Delegation of Authority (DOA), promotion criteria, SOPs, and templates to reduce manual work and process variation.
Pay Equity & Compliance
Conducts extensive pay equity analyses using Syndio to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, proactively identifying and addressing pay gaps organization-wide.
Drives EU Pay Transparency Directive compliance — country documentation, reporting readiness, comparator methodology, and Legal liaison.
Supports country-specific regulatory compliance including India Labour Code compensation restructuring and DOA/policy governance.
Data Analysis & Executive Reporting
Demonstrates a passion for continuous learning and curiosity around emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence, proactively exploring how AI tools and insights might be integrated into total rewards strategies. Champions experimentation and knowledge sharing to uncover new ways AI can empower more data-driven, personalized, and agile compensation solutions.
Oversees the development and maintenance of sophisticated compensation models to assist in budgeting and planning cycles. Creates models that show the impact of various pay scenarios and how they affect different parts of the organization.
Delivers compensation analytics for CEO, Board, and CHRO — comp ratios, workforce cost analysis, scenario modeling (merit, bonus, FLC), dashboards, and rewards statements.
Prepares regular and ad hoc compensation analyses, dashboards, and reports for senior leadership, tailored to the needs of diverse Business Units and Functions.
Works with the reporting team to ensure reports meet compensation needs for both standard and ad hoc reporting across all functions.
Team Leadership
Performs line management responsibilities, including professional development, performance appraisals, and employee counseling for analyst staff. Assigns project work and reviews workload for all direct reports. Manages staff by establishing goals to increase knowledge and skill levels and by delegating tasks commensurate with skill level.
Directly manages a team of 2–4 analysts globally, with potential dotted-line oversight of additional analysts supporting cross-functional work.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
Ten (10) years of related experience in global compensation operations, analytics, or systems with two (2) years management experience
Strong experience with market pricing tools (Payfactors, Mercer, Radford, or equivalent) and salary structure design
Demonstrated ability to lead pay equity analysis and regulatory compliance programs
Syndio or similar pay equity platform experience (preferred)
Experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry (preferred)
Experience managing globally distributed teams, including offshore analyst teams (preferred)
Experience supporting PE-backed or IPO-readiness environments (preferred)
Excellent leadership skills
Strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel skills, preferably Power BI skills
Ability to identify creative solutions and implement with minimal direction
Professionalism and effective ability to manage confidential information
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
