About the Role
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Sime Industrial’s (SDI) digital platforms, supporting the organisation’s ongoing digital transformation journey.
Reporting to the Digital Platforms Manager, you will leverage innovative cloud technologies, SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms, and external partners to enhance the experience of customers, suppliers, and employees. You will also provide technical guidance and support the successful implementation of digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships and resources across SaaS vendors and crowdsourcing platforms to achieve delivery outcomes
- Design applications and implement DevOps practices to enable continuous delivery
- Apply expertise in modular, service-based, and microservices architectures
- Work within Agile/Lean development frameworks
- Establish and maintain development standards, tools, and frameworks
- Provide Level 3 support, including maintenance of core platforms and extensions
- Support cloud platform services through effective agile delivery and service metrics
You will also provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to application developers and team leads across SDI dealerships throughout the Asia-Pacific region, as well as external contractors.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
At least 3 years’ experience developing web, desktop, and mobile applications using Microsoft technologies
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline
Experience working within Agile methodologies
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Desirable experience includes IT project delivery in a corporate environment, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) qualifications, and exposure to applications, NoSQL databases, and SaaS platforms.
