The Role

Digital Supplier Experience Analyst
We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

In this position...
Ford’s Supplier Technologies team is developing a groundbreaking new application: the Contact Management Tool (CMT). Currently, supplier contact information is fragmented across more than 80 disparate legacy systems. This fragmentation results in duplicated effort, inconsistent records, and delayed operational decision-making—creating immense process waste.
As a Digital Supplier Experience Analyst, your primary focus will be guiding the creation of CMT as a centralized, single source of truth, though you will also act as a versatile champion for Ford's broader digital supplier experience. You will drive immense business value and lean process optimization by delivering:

  • Waste Reduction: Establishing CMT as the master data source, transitioning legacy systems to "display-only" for contacts, and eliminating the time spent reconciling conflicting records.

  • Efficiency: Creating a single-entry point that significantly reduces supplier burden and streamlines workflows.

  • Accuracy & Reliability: Eliminating the dependency on manual tracking to ensure pristine data for rapid communication during supply chain emergencies.

Ultimately, your goal is to dramatically improve the supplier experience, ensuring Ford remains the customer of choice.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Product Strategy: Drive the product vision and roadmap. Continuously weigh business strategy, market analysis, user experience, and the elimination of process waste to build a highly adopted application.

  • Agile Execution: Act as the Product Owner for the development team. Take full ownership of the product backlog. Write clear user stories, ruthlessly prioritize features based on business value, and officially evaluate and accept sprint deliverables.

  • Strategic Flexibility: Remain agile and adaptable, ready to pivot and support other emerging supplier technology initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and broader portfolio goals beyond CMT.

  • System Integration & Security: Map out downstream integrations to ensure CMT seamlessly feeds accurate data to legacy applications. Review functional specifications and design robust security/access models.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the crucial bridge between business stakeholders (supply chain leaders, cross-functional subject matter experts, suppliers) and the software development team.

  • Change Management & Support: Ensure a smooth rollout by facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), overseeing training and deployment plans, crafting user communications, and providing ongoing, non-technical production support (e.g., access, data management, instructional help).

Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Commodity/Program Management, or Supply Chain Consulting, preferably within the automotive industry.

  • Strong ability to translate complex business problems into clear, actionable software requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels, translating detailed information into concise executive summaries and presentations.

  • Highly adaptable and resourceful, with a proven ability to manage changing priorities in ambiguous environments.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Even better, you may have...

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related advanced degree.

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in an Agile software development environment.

  • Prior experience in technology or management consulting, demonstrating the ability to rapidly parachute into complex environments, map out fragmented systems, and consolidate them into a centralized strategy.

  • Prior experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Supplier Management technology.
Familiarity with Ford’s existing supplier and plant legacy systems (e.g., eDDL, CMMS, GSDB Online).

  • Knowledge of database structures and cloud-based architecture (such as Google Cloud Platform / GCP).

  • Ability and willingness to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, data analysis, or product development.

  • Experience building and launching new applications from the ground up (0-to-1 product development).

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-ACP, or similar Agile certification.

  • Proven analytical skills with a passion for improving user experience and operational efficiency (Lean principles).

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
