Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Digital Sales Manager to work with our team in our NYC office. The Digital Sales Manager will manage the commercial sales relationship with digital (ebook and audiobook) retailers and library vendors, from new business development to driving sales strategies for client publishers’ brands and their books. You’ll lead all digital vendor-specific business development opportunities, including organizing business reviews, title presentations, and analyzing sales and other data to optimize commercial relationships with digital vendors. Further, you will coordinate with the Digital Operations Manager on improving processes to increase title visibility and digital sales revenue. Finally, you will also lead all new digital vendor outreach and onboarding process, including evaluating prospective vendors in both domestic and international markets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or year-for-year related experience
  • 5 years’ experience in the book/publishing industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior ebook or audiobook sales experience
  • Prior experience working with digital vendors

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for ebook and audiobook retailers for sales and marketing of ICG digital catalog. Secures placements and promotions, organizing seasonal key title presentations. Where appropriate, coordinates presentations with sales reps from across the company.
  • Leads digital business development efforts that result in increased title visibility and revenue through digital sales channels.
  • In coordination with Digital Operations Manager, troubleshoots vendor specific issues and works to build and maintain strong relationships with digital accounts.
  • Prepares and leads business reviews with digital accounts.
  • Manages the onboarding of new accounts from end to end, including identifying new market opportunities, negotiating terms, and executing account set-up with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyzes sales and other data to provide insights into the business and to understand trends that may contribute to increasing digital sales.
  • Interacts extensively with other ICG departments to ensure sales opportunities are maximized to the benefit of client publishers.
  • Participates in industry events and other key customer networking opportunities.
  • Reports to senior management on industry trends, market requirements, customer needs and competitor developments.
  • Assists with implementing digital price promotions.

Hiring Salary Range:  $87,475 - $110,601. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
