Digital Printer Operator

As a member of the Production/Warehouse team, the Printer Operator plays a critical role in overseeing the digital printmaking process for our facility. You’ll be responsible for programming the printers, reviewing all the graphics to ensure they meet specifications, and performing all printing for requested orders. The person in this role will be pivotal in setting the pace for our digital printing process and ensuring we deliver product on time to our customers. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO ON A DAILY BASIS:

• Print heat press transfers/UV cups/banners/wall clings based upon current schedule.
• Post & track of daily schedules of orders
• Ensure daily schedule is completed on time and with minimal reprints
• Routine maintenance of machines (cleaning)
• Log daily productivity, quality, and process issues with printing and or artwork
• Maintain organization of printer room by ensuring printed goods are organized
• Run cutting machines/sending cut data
• Occasionally fill in other job roles as needed based on need/volume
• Report any issues or concerns to Manager

WHAT SKILLS YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

• Ability to multitask and organize/prioritize tasks as needed
• Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative to complete projects with minimal oversight
• Comfortable working and collaborating with other team members
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly
• Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment with repetitive motion (sitting/standing) throughout shift
• Ability to lift to 50-60 lbs. in order to operate and maintain printers

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

• HS Diploma or GED (required)
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator. 
• Computer savvy with familiarity of Microsoft office, Onyx rip software, and Google docs is a bonus
• Digital printing, graphic design, or knowledge of any kind of printing process is a bonus
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish OR English/French) is a bonus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. This role will work in a climate-controlled environment.
