The Digital Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing the organization’s email marketing strategy to drive engagement, brand awareness, and business growth. This role serves as the subject matter expert for email communications, ensuring campaigns are strategically aligned, data-driven, compliant, and performance-focused.
While email is the primary focus, this role also supports broader digital marketing initiatives across web, social, and paid channels to ensure integrated campaign execution and consistent brand messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Email Strategy and Campaign Management

  • Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies aligned with corporate and business objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of email campaigns, including strategy, content coordination, list segmentation, build, QA, deployment, and reporting.
  • Create and manage automated nurture streams, drip campaigns, and triggered communications.
  • Maintain and evolve segmentation strategies to drive personalization and increase engagement.
  • Partner with business units to translate goals into targeted, measurable email initiatives.

Marketing Automation

  • Manage and optimize marketing automation platforms and CRM integrations (where applicable).
  • Ensure database health, list hygiene, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Support lead scoring, routing logic, and data synchronization processes.
  • Continuously evaluate automation workflows for efficiency and effectiveness.

Analytics and Optimization

  • Monitor performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement trends.
  • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, messaging, design, and send times to improve results.
  • Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Recommend strategic adjustments based on data analysis and campaign outcomes.

Content and Cross-Channel Integration

  • Collaborate with content, brand, and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
  • Repurpose email content to support social media, website, and digital campaigns when appropriate.
  • Support broader digital initiatives as needed, including landing pages, web updates, and campaign coordination.

Governance and Best Practices

  • Ensure adherence to brand standards and messaging guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy and anti-spam regulations.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and email marketing best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or marketing automation.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing email campaigns within a marketing automation platform.
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in analytics platforms and reporting tools.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data management best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
