The preferred location for this role is in Mexico City, but we are open to considering candidates in remotely in Mexico or LATAM. Ideally a fluent Spanish and English speaker.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing data science team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Strategy: Define and execute the data science roadmap, aligning with business goals and objectives.
• Advanced Analytics: Develop predictive and prescriptive models to solve complex business challenges and uncover actionable insights.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and marketing, to integrate data-driven solutions into company operations.
• Innovation: Explore emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance data science capabilities.
• Data Governance: Ensure the integrity, security, and scalability of the company’s data infrastructure.
• Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs to measure the impact of data science initiatives and continuously optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  • 5+ years in data science
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful data science solutions in a B2B or SaaS environment.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data pipelines and model deployment.
• Analytical Skills:
  • Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of experimental design and A/B testing.
• Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Exceptional ability to manage and mentor teams while driving cross-functional projects.
  • Effective communication skills to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
