Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly strategic Digital Marketing Manager to join our pharmaceutical marketing team. This individual will partner closely with therapeutic area teams to shape and execute digital strategies that drive disease awareness, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement across global markets. The role will utilize social listening, search analytics and other digital landscape analysis techniques to inform business strategy and optimize patient and HCP engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Strategy & Landscaping
- Lead digital landscaping across assigned disease areas to identify emerging trends, competitive activities, audience behaviors, and innovation opportunities.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies to guide digital engagement, content development, and market-shaping activities.
- Partner with brand teams and cross-functional insight generation stakeholders to align digital strategies with business objectives and local market execution.
- Digital Opinion Leader (DOL) Engagement
- Lead in identifying, profiling, and engaging Digital Opinion Leaders (HCPs, patient advocates, and influencers) across multiple channels and platforms.
- Drive DOL activation strategies that are compliant, scalable, and measurable.
- Collaborate with medical, legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliant execution and risk mitigation.
- Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of DOL partnerships and their impact on disease area strategies.
- Social Listening & Search Analytics Insights
- Lead social listening and search analytics programs to better understand online opportunities with HCP, patient, and advocacy communities.
- Analyze insights to understand sentiment, unmet needs, content opportunities, and reputational risks.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to inform content creation, disease awareness campaigns, and corporate reputation management.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the subject matter expert in digital innovation for assigned disease areas.
- Partner with local affiliates, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Corporate Communications, Competitive Insights) to drive alignment, scalability, and best practices.
- Manage agency partners and digital vendors to deliver high-quality, compliant, and impactful outputs.
- Act as a champion for digital transformation, sharing best practices and building organizational capability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, digital strategy, or digital engagement, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of managing digital programs.
- Demonstrated experience in social listening platforms, influencer marketing/DOL identification, and digital analytics.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and privacy considerations in pharmaceutical marketing.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to translate complex data and insights into actionable business strategies.
Pay Range:
$117,600 - $176,400Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
