The Role
Job Purpose

The Digital Marketing Manager will work closely within the marketing team to develop and implement the digital marketing activities in support of business objectives. Responsible for the German & Alpine region (GALP), in this management role, you will apply your deep understanding of the digital marketing mix to create solutions - from development, launch, measurement to optimization - that drive brand and product awareness, purchase intent and loyalty. You will lead a team of two digital specialists with focus on owned digital channels and Social Media. The Digital Marketing Manager sits within the local brand & digital marketing team, forming part of an international team of digital leads within the business. This role will execute across priority digital touchpoints and presents an opportunity to work and make an impact across the digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities & Hard Skills Requirements
  • Strategic digital direction: Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with overall business goals. Lead multi-channel marketing initiatives (SEO, SEM, social media, PPC, etc.) across all stages of the user journey. Drive lead acquisition strategy through digital channels.

  • Proficiency in Google and META: setting up campaigns in platforms, following a consistent naming convention, finetuning and optimizing audiences and ad campaigns as well as doing proper post campaign reporting

  • Oversee digital to maximize ROI: Oversee the digital marketing budget and allocate resources effectively across campaigns to maximize ROI.

  • Advanced Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of SEO, SEM and PPC. Expertise in data-drive marketing and advanced proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and other tracking tools.

  • Team Leadership and People Management: Lead, manage and mentor a team including specialists, interns and external agencies.

  • Integrated Campaign Management: Combining paid, owned and earned media to drive brand awareness, lead generation and customer engagement. Manage end-to-end execution of campaigns, from ideation to delivery, ensuring that timelines, budgets and KPIs are met.

  • Data-Drive Decision Making and Performance Optimization: Conduct regular A/B testing, experience with attribution modelling to accurately track and assign value across the journey, ability to read and interpret dashboards for real time metrics.

  • Advanced Stakeholder Management: Communicate digital marketing strategies, insights and results to senior leadership. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, build and maintain relationships

  • Innovation: Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, continuously innovate and test different ad formats.

  • Crisis & Reputation Management: Manage digital brand reputation such as web reviews, develop digital communication strategies for handling brand-related issues.

  • Legal and Compliance Awareness: Thorough understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations

Soft Skills
  • Result-oriented, intrinsically motivated individual with strong ability to drive change

  • Independent, creative self-starter with ability to work in a highly energetic, fast-paced environment to actively drive digital transformation

  • German Native Speaker & fluent business english language skills (verbal, written and presentation); additional languages advantageous

  • 5+ years of experience gained across relevant digital marketing disciplines; previous account management within a digital agency is a plus
