Internship Overview

We are looking for interns to join us for our 2026 Summer Internship Program! Position Overview

The Digital and Demand Marketing team is responsible for understanding customer needs and translating them into meaningful experiences and paid media activations for Actian. We partner across the organization, in support of our corporate goals, to strengthen our brand, improve customer journeys, and ensure every media touchpoint is aligned with what customers value most.

The Digital Marketing Intern plays a central role within this fast-paced team by helping with a wide range of projects, campaigns, and initiatives, and by providing day-to-day support for the Demand Marketing team. The Digital Marketing Intern will also work closely with individuals across the Marketing Organization, and external vendors and partners. Aptitude for administration, organization, clear communication, and follow through on tasks is essential.

This internship program is a unique opportunity to build a strong foundation in B2B digital marketing while gaining hands-on experience with the tools that shape the industry. You will leave this role with a comprehensive understanding of demand generation, marketing operations, and how to effectively prompt and partner with AI to drive campaign success. Throughout the program, interns will have direct guidance from experienced leaders on the Actian Marketing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support digital marketing campaigns (Strategy, Planning, Execution, Measurement, and Optimization), sit in on ideation for campaigns and strategic initiatives, and review design and copy of creative and trafficking of paid media
  • Learn how to functionally use Account-Based Marketing Platforms (Demandbase, etc.), Marketing Operations Platforms (Marketo, Salesforce, etc.), and Project Management Platforms (Jira)
  • Leverage generative AI tools to assist with campaign research and execution
  • Assist with reporting and media analytics
  • Follow-up with external partners including our creative and media agencies on deliverables
  • Capstone Project: Train an AI model to identify which attributes most effectively drive lead generation across Actian’s media mix that is presented to the team upon culmination of the internship

Nice to Haves:

    • Eagerness in learning more about media planning and paid media strategy
    • Perusing a degree in a related field to advertising, marketing, media, etc.
    • A strong curiosity and willingness to experiment with generative AI tools to improve marketing workflows and content creation
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
