Intro Summary of the Role

The Digital Finance Business Analyst – SAP ERP FICO Specialist supports the development and delivery of data and analytics solutions within Lonza’s Digital Finance team in FP&A. The role is critical in enabling global finance processes across Lonza’s CDMO sites and driving the digitalization of the Finance function. This position focuses on translating SAP ERP Finance and Controlling (FICO) data into actionable insights through high-quality Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions. Acting as a bridge between Finance, IT, and business stakeholders, the role ensures financial data is accessible, reliable, and aligned with global finance standards to support site-level performance management and decision-making.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate closely with site finance, controlling teams, and global process owners to understand reporting and analytics requirements

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports focused on site finance, cost management, and performance tracking

• Build robust data models and analytical solutions using data sourced directly from SAP ERP FI and CO modules

• Translate complex SAP financial and operational data into clear, intuitive insights for finance and non-finance stakeholders

• Automate recurring finance reporting and business processes using Microsoft Power Automate

• Ensure dashboards and reports align with global finance standards, usability guidelines, and data governance principles

• Provide user support, enablement, and training to site finance and controlling teams

• Continuously improve reporting solutions with a focus on performance, consistency, and data quality

• Support data governance, compliance, and quality initiatives across digital finance projects

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Data Science

• Strong expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, and report publishing)

• Deep understanding of SAP ERP Finance and Controlling (FICO) processes and underlying SAP data structures

• Solid knowledge of financial principles including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost controlling

• Proven ability to translate technical and financial data into actionable business insights

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

• Effective communication and stakeholder-management capabilities

• Experience with SQL, advanced Excel, or other data tools is an advantage

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is desirable

• Microsoft Analytics or Power BI certification is a plus
