Your opportunity

Join Mission Australia as a Digital Coordinator and play a key role in enhancing our digital experience to better connect people with the support they need.

Working within our Digital Marketing team, this role supports the delivery and optimisation of content, campaigns, and digital journeys across our platforms. You will contribute to ensuring our digital channels are accessible, engaging and aligned to our mission; helping individuals and communities’ access vital services such as housing support, youth services, and homelessness programs. With a blend of coordination and hands-on execution, you will help drive performance, improve user experience, and strengthen our ability to deliver meaningful impact through digital channels.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage and maintain website content within the CMS, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand, accessibility and user experience standards.
  • Action digital briefs including content creation, updates, formatting and optimisation for campaigns and business-as-usual requests.
  • Support content audits, migrations, and lifecycle management by identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Apply metadata, tagging and structured formatting to improve content discoverability and search performance.
  • Assist in the delivery of digital campaigns, landing pages and EDMs, ensuring correct tagging and tracking implementation.
  • Maintain digital assets and content across platforms, supporting efficient workflows and governance processes.
  • Support SEO initiatives through keyword research, on-page optimisation and content improvements.
  • Coordinate digital requests and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure effective delivery.

Requirements for success

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital content management, web publishing or a similar role (typically 2–5 years).
  • Experience working with CMS/DXP platforms and digital asset management systems.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, user experience principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience with content formatting, metadata tagging and structured content workflows.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, tagging practices and performance reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for content updates and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset, alongside compliance with WHS and child-safe practices.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
