Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated Digital / AI Specialist to join the IMEA Digital organization. This is an entry-level role suitable for recent graduates or professionals with up to three years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, digital solutions, or data analytics.
The successful candidate will develop expertise in ABB's Digital Applications portfolio, including Asset Performance Management (APM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Advanced Process Control (APC), Energy Optimization, Operations Management, and Industrial Data Platforms. The role combines technical learning, solution demonstration, customer engagement, and digital business development.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and interested in building a career at the intersection of automation, AI, and industrial digital transformation.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Learn and develop expertise in ABB Digital Applications portfolio.
- Build foundational knowledge in: Asset Performance Management (APM), Advanced Process Control (APC), AI and Machine Learning applications, Enix Industrial Analytics, Energy Management and Optimization solutions, Operations Management solutions & Industrial Data Integration platforms
- Maintain awareness of market trends and emerging digital technologies.
- Develop demonstration environments and customer showcases.
- Build customer-specific use cases and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
- Assist in creating industry-specific digital content and value calculators.
- Participate in customer meetings and digital workshops across IMEA.
- Present ABB digital solutions to customers, consultants, and channel partners.
- Support proposal development activities.
- Assist sales teams in digital solution positioning.
- Collaborate with product experts and global digital teams.
- Support pilot projects and digital application deployments.
- Develop knowledge of industrial processes in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, Water, Mining, Metals, and other process industries.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, software engineering or any similar field
- Basic understanding of industrial automation systems is a plus
- Exposure to data analytics, AI, Machine Learning, or software applications.
- Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, PLC, or industrial software solutions is advantageous.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- 0 to 3 years of experience.
- Passionate about digital technologies and AI.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Team players with strong interpersonal skills.
