Join Our Team as a Dietary Manager!
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dietary Manager to lead the daily operations of our Dietary Department within a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) setting. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality meal services that support participant health, wellness, and dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily dietary department operations, including food preparation, meal service, sanitation, inventory, and purchasing.
- Ensure compliance with therapeutic diets, portion control standards, and food safety regulations.
- Supervise, coach, and develop dietary staff while fostering a positive team environment.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment safety, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Conduct weekly and monthly food inventories and manage departmental budgets and expenditures.
- Collaborate with administration and the dietitian to coordinate special functions and catered events.
- Interact with participants to enhance their dining experience and overall satisfaction.
- Participate in food production activities, including cooking, baking, and meal preparation as needed.
- Promote Trinity Health PACE’s mission, values, and commitment to quality care.
- Conduct initial and annual comprehensive nutritional assessment on all participants. Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team to develop a comprehensive care plan for each participant.
- Monitor monthly weights, medical diagnosis, drug nutrient interactions, reports changes to the interdisciplinary team and makes recommendations for changes to appropriate staff.
- Perform initial and annual competencies on the Dietary Aide(s).
- Oversee maintenance/cleanliness and orderliness of serving kitchen.
- Act as a liaison with contracted meal service to ensure meals meet the needs of the PACE participants
- Provide education and training to health care professionals as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field preferred; Registered Dietitian credentials are a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in quantity food preparation within healthcare, hospitality, senior living, or a related industry.
- Supervisory experience required.
- ServSafe Certification required or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
- Strong leadership, budgeting, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities.
