We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Dietary Manager to lead our dietary services team in providing exceptional nutritional care within skilled nursing and long term care environment. Duties

  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to conduct patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and monitor progress related to nutritional status.
  • Manage food preparation processes, including menu planning that aligns with dietary guidelines and budget constraints while ensuring variety and appeal.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks on food safety practices, sanitation standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead efforts in health coaching by educating residents on nutrition choices that support their overall well-being and recovery goals.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, control costs effectively, and optimize resource allocation without compromising quality.
  • Supervise the preparation of detailed reports on dietary services performance, resident satisfaction, and compliance audits.
Qualifications
  • Proven management experience within a dietary department or healthcare setting with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of skilled and long term care nutritional requirements, physiology, dietetics principles, and care plans development.
  • Hands-on experience with patient assessment techniques, diagnostic evaluation processes related to nutrition status, and tube feeding procedures.
  • Strong background in managing budgets, food safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Familiarity with health coaching strategies to promote healthy eating habits among residents.
  • Prior experience in dietary department operations within assisted living or long-term care facilities is highly preferred.
