POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Dietitian in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Food Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Food Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a ROCKSTAR attitude
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language, communicate effectively, written and orally, to team members
- Food Handlers Certification required to be presented during orientation/before working in the kitchen
- Must have basic knowledge of budget management, staff management and various computer systems such as email, Microsoft, EMR, menu/tray card, online ordering
- Experience working in a healthcare setting required
- Holds a current and valid Food Service Manager's Certificate (ANFP) or CDM Exam eligible (Director will be required to obtain CDM credential within specified timeframe discussed upon hire)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to understand and execute the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving of food process within Department of Food & Nutrition Services
- Understand that role may require completing tasks assigned to unfilled positions and/or due to census fluctuations
- Assist in implementing and maintaining written Department of Food & Nutrition Services policies, procedures, and systems.
- Develop shift assignments for team members, ensuring all required tasks are completed in accordance Department of Food & Nutrition Services standards
- Provide routine performance evaluations of Food & Nutrition Services team members and works to promote individual team member growth
- Complete all assigned routine documentation in a timely manner and collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and execute resident care plans
- Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, meetings and assignments as required by community and Department of Food & Nutrition Services
- Communicate any recommendations to the Corporate Support Team, Dietitian and/or Executive Director of Operations as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Department of Food & Nutrition Services.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance in accordance with FPACP absence policies
- Promote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
- Use appropriate workplace behavior; always adhere to the Department Food & Nutrition Services dress code
- Understand that other duties not listed may be required as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations

Skills Required
