Position Details- Employment Type: Full-time (30+ hours per week)
- Schedule: 12:30pm – 8:30pm, with every other weekend required
- Pay: Starting at $14.00/hour plus shift differential
- Perks: Free meals provided on every shift
- Assist the cook with meal preparation and service
- Prepare beverages, cereals, breads, salads, and desserts according to menu plans and dietary needs
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all dietary areas, including dishwashing and storage
- Set up carts, dining areas, and staff dining room for meal service
- Follow oral and written instructions, including recipes and meal orders
- Handle and store food safely, label and date leftovers, and replenish supplies
- Attend training classes and implement new skills as needed
- Interact positively with residents, family members, and staff
- Follow all health, safety, and facility policies and procedures
- Some high school coursework, diploma, or GED preferred
- Experience in food service is a plus but not required – we provide on-the-job training!
- Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions with attention to detail
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 75 lbs), and perform cleaning duties
- Patience, compassion, and a desire to serve the elderly community
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and with cleaning chemicals
- Must be free from infectious diseases
