What You'll DoAs a PRN RN on our Inpatient Unit, you'll provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to hospice patients requiring short-term inpatient services. Working collaboratively with physicians, nursing colleagues, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, you'll:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered hospice nursing care
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations
- Administer medications and treatments while managing pain and symptoms
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Educate and support patients and their families
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life throughout every shift
Required
- Current Florida Registered Nurse License (or Compact RN License)
- Minimum of one year of RN experience (hospice, oncology, critical care, medical-surgical, or home health experience preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Preferred
- Hospice or Palliative Care experience
- CHPN Certification
- BSN
