Job Posting Title: DevSecOps Engineer, BT Applications

Location: Bangalore, India

Description

As a Release Engineer specialising in AEM DevSecOps, you will build reusable infrastructure-as-code, continuous deployment, and related systems to standardise, accelerate, and enhance the robustness of our cloud environments. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and managing high-quality deployments that power and scale Okta’s Business Technology team, focusing on seamless, automated integration and production deployments for both development and testing environments. This is a highly technical role requiring expertise in deployment technologies, monitoring, scripting, networking, and infrastructure, as well as specific knowledge of AEM DevOps to support and secure Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) environments. You’ll work closely with developers, infrastructure engineers, and security teams to optimise AEM setup, improve development pipelines, and ensure performance and security of our digital platform. This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on solving complex problems, is ready to own projects end-to-end, and can effectively collaborate cross-functionally. While the work is challenging, you’ll have strong support from a talented team, fostering an environment where innovative solutions are celebrated.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable CI/CD pipelines for AEM environments, incorporating automated testing, building, and deployment processes for seamless code releases.
  • Automate the software development and deployment processes, enabling faster, more frequent releases while integrating security at every stage.
  • Oversee AEM infrastructure, including server configuration, instance management, capacity planning, load balancing, and performance optimisation across environments.
  • Develop and manage tools for automating operational processes, continuous monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure high availability and rapid issue detection.
  • Actively monitor environment and platform events, swiftly identifying and reporting security incidents or anomalies to protect system security and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot system issues across various domains and platforms, collaborating closely with AEM developers to refine deployment strategies and resolve technical challenges.
  • Provide architectural and process improvement recommendations to enhance the robustness, scalability, and security of AEM setups and development pipelines.
  • Manage and optimise cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) to support resilient, scalable AEM instances.
  • Continuously enhance and optimise processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance metrics, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Stay updated on best practices for AEM administration, deployment strategies, and DevSecOps techniques to continually improve system resilience and security.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, specifically with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or cloud-based infrastructure, in a senior or lead role.
  • Proficiency in managing and configuring AEM environments, including deployment topologies (e.g., Author, Publish, Dispatcher), and expertise in CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Bamboo, or CircleCI.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi, with a focus on continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python, and in using configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
  • In-depth knowledge of application security best practices, including implementing automated security testing tools and addressing common vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.
  • Advanced experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including foundational knowledge in compute, networking, storage, and security.
  • Strong experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, with a focus on scaling and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing operational dashboards across all systems to monitor and detect downtimes, spikes, and anomalies.
  • Experience in managing Salesforce releases using tools like Gearset, Prodly, Copado, or similar for other BT applications such as NetSuite and Workday is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially in performance tuning and scalability, and strong documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with web application security best practices for securing AEM environments and cloud-based applications. Certification such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar is a plus.
  • Experience in coaching and developing teams, especially with geographically dispersed team members, and a willingness to learn and master unfamiliar technologies or concepts
