SAIC is seeking an experienced DevSecOps (DSO) Engineer with a cybersecurity focus to support our Department of the Air Force customer in deployment and hardening of a cloud infrastructure. The Cyber DevSecOps Engineer will build, manage, maintain and scale operational cybersecurity applications and be a critical subject matter expert for consulting and implementation support.

We are seeking a high energy, detail-oriented and highly organized Cyber DSO to join our dynamic team. As a Cyber DSO, you will play a critical role in deploying, operating, and securing cloud development, staging, testing, and operational environments in support of our nation’s most challenging national security missions. This is a hybrid position with onsite requirements at the Rosslyn, VA facility which will be moving to Crystal City.
Responsibilities of the DevSecOps Engineer include:
- Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible
- Deployment and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and applications
- Provide Source Control Management/Documentation, collaborate with other DSOs to create and maintain fully Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance. Support full automation of CI/CD testing
- Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers
- Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production
- Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate and increase cyber posture
Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor’s and nine (9) years or more experience; Master’s and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship
- TS Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI
- Proven background working in DevOps software development environments with specific experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience with tools like Axonious, Splunk, Trend Micro, ACAS
- Security automation
- Pipeline development and maintenance
- CI/CD with GitLab and Bitbucket
- Container management with Kubernetes and Helm
- Cloud - CloudOne, AWS
- Containerization with Docker or Red Hat Podman
- Agile software development with Scrum or Kanban
- Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence
- Cross Domain Solutions
- Multi-Level Security Networks (MLS / MILS)
