Primary Responsibilities:
- Includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:
- Automation & Migration
- Design, build, and maintain automated pipelines to support server, application, and infrastructure migrations
- Evaluate existing environments and collaborate with stakeholders to define secure and efficient migration strategies
- Execute end-to-end migration plans ensuring minimal downtime, data integrity, and operational continuity
- CI/CD Engineering & Development
- Build, enhance, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automation scripts and APIs using Python
- Ensure CI/CD processes include security gates, quality checks, and automated compliance validation
- Cloud Infrastructure & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, resilient cloud infrastructure primarily on Azure, with exposure to AWS and Google Cloud
- Build reusable and scalable IaC components using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar tools
- Automate deployment, configuration, scaling, and lifecycle management across multi-cloud and hybrid environments
- Security, Compliance & Responsible AI
- Automate cybersecurity and compliance controls for cloud, application, and infrastructure components
- Implement continuous security scanning, threat detection, and remediation workflows within CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure alignment with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and security directives
- Apply Responsible AI principles-fairness, transparency, and accountability-when integrating AI into DevSecOps automation
- AI/ML Integration & Intelligent Automation
- Use AI/ML tools for predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, performance optimization, and automated troubleshooting
- Integrate cloud-native ML solutions such as Azure Machine Learning, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, and MLflow to enhance operational insights
- Leverage AI-powered DevOps tools like GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI Service, and DataRobot to accelerate development, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability
- Operations, Monitoring & Reliability Engineering
- Support setup, maintenance, and optimization of test, staging, and production environments
- Analyze logs, metrics, and traces using observability platforms and AI-driven analytics to identify improvements
- Implement and evolve cloud operations, SRE, and DevOps best practices including backup, recovery, scaling, and incident management
- Collaboration, Communication & Documentation
- Partner with development, QA, security, data, and cloud engineering teams in an Agile environment
- Document architectures, runbooks, SOPs, and automation workflows to ensure operational transparency and repeatability
- Provide guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to engineers and internal stakeholders
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field
- 6+ years of professional experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, cloud platforms, and security engineering
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
- Experience implementing cloud security best practices for Azure (CIS Benchmarks, Zero Trust, identity & access controls)
- Hands-on experience with secrets management (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault)
- Experience with monitoring & logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Agile or Scrum experience
- Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Solid understanding of AI tools and models, with proven experience using AI assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot) for automation, troubleshooting, and productivity
- Solid expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid knowledge of security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, Snyk, etc.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
- Familiarity with GitOps practices (ArgoCD, Flux)
- Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure SDLC integration
- Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when working with development, security, and operations teams
