Senior DevOps Engineer

Purpose of the role

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing the build and deployment solutions for different Navitaire products. This includes supporting existing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery operations by creating and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines and releases in Development and QA environments, working closely with different teams and US counterparts. The position will also involve researching new cloud-related tools and technologies to keep the DevOps Team’s scripts and processes up to date and perform within standards. The candidate will contribute to delivering the needed test environment setup utilizing Azure services as well as other cloud infrastructure delivery and management technologies such as GitOps, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Services, and Argo. The role will provide environment support such as investigating deployment issues, failed services, and delivering environment changes/processes as driven by enhancements on different Navitaire products. The role will also assist Accenture SUS on deployment issues encountered during Production upgrades. Lastly, the position will carry out and perform analysis of internal team tools and scripts, focusing on implementing fully automated solutions where necessary.

In this role you’ll:

• Develop and maintain CICD pipelines in Azure DevOps (ADO) using ADO native tasks and other tools like Terraform, Ansible.

• Identify and address gaps in stabilizing the CICD processes by providing feedback and gathering data on commonly failing areas.

• Implement cloud-native solutions for infrastructure and application performance monitoring and stability, and cost management.

• Create and deliver Azure resources needed for different cloud and infrastructure projects via Azure Portal and Azure Powershell.

• Develop and implement automation scripts/processes for building and deploying different Navitaire products, and configuring Dev and QA infrastructure.

About the ideal candidate:

• Relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline.

• 4-6 years experience in creating and setting up cloud resources in any cloud provider (i.e. Azure, AWS).

• Experience or knowledge in Powershell, YAML scripting, SQL, and C#.

• 2 - 3 years experience designing, setting up, and debugging CI/CD pipelines.

• Basic knowledge of containerization, Terraform scripts, and Kubernetes.

• Experience in implementing Security solutions in CI/CD.

• 2 - 3 years experience on Windows platforms and networking.

• Experience in creating automated scripts for build and deployment processes.

• Position is open to Developers with 2 - 3 years relevant experience and willing to transition to a career in DevOps.

• Ability to research, learn, and utilize emerging DevOps tools and solutions.

• Proven ability to solve problems and issues effectively.

• Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment.

• Can effectively own and deliver process/tool development with high quality.

• Can work in a team environment and share knowledge with team members.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
