About this opportunity:
The DevOps Engineer supports the realization of IT solutions in test environment by providing specialized technical expertise on systems and applications in ADM Projects. As a technology expert, works with the customer, driving the technical architecture definition and defining the full technical infrastructural environment of an IT solution. Responsible for understanding and implementing business rules and requirements of the customer system/application in recurrent business.
What you will do:
- Support the design, implementation and operation of IT solutions in test and non-production environments.
- Contribute to defining the technical architecture and infrastructure setup for applications and systems.
- Manage and operate Linux-based systems and applications in day-to-day operations.
- Perform application and system administration activities (deployment, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting).
- Monitor system and service health using proactive monitoring tools and frameworks (for example Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and contribute to service restoration and improvement actions.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting (Python, Bash) to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Support containerized environments using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Apply SDLC best practices and support testing and deployment activities.
- Contribute to improving system stability, security and availability by identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
- Create, maintain and continuously improve technical documentation, procedures and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, communicating technical topics clearly and effectively.
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in application and/or system management.
- Solid Linux command-line knowledge (mandatory).
- Experience or exposure to application servers and web technologies (for example WebLogic, Nginx, Tomcat, IIS).
- Experience with middleware platforms is an advantage (Oracle OSB, SOA Suite, IBM DataPower).
- Understanding of system and service monitoring concepts and tools.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python and Bash scripting for automation.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, ECS, EKS).
- Understanding of application deployment processes and common application-layer security concepts.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to prevent and reduce service outages.
- Willingness and ability to continuously learn and develop new technical skills.
- Ability to produce clear, structured and comprehensive technical documentation.
