Job Overview
ING is looking for an excellent DevOps Engineer for our Competitive Services area with technical & people skills. The team is responsible for the platform of multiple Wholesale Banking Financial Market applications within the area. These are globally used applications, and as such, you are expected to work closely with other engineers locally and from other locations. We are an open-minded squad that values trust and transparency above all.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines based on ING change management standards
- Help maintain service level agreements for system availability, etc
- Handle patching and vulnerability management to maintain application security
- Operate according to a DevOps process and Agile approach in delivering IT solutions
- Work on improving current processes through automation
Key Capabilities/Experience
- Excellent social and communication skills
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Continuous Delivery and Deployment (CI/CD). Continuous improvement mentality and way of working
- Experience in IT Operational Support (ITIL) having direct communication with and/or support of end users
- End-to-end ownership mindset. Independent and autonomous in completing tasks.
- Active team player who takes responsibility and coaches others to help their individual development
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or an equivalent field
- 5+ years of experience in relevant field
- CI/CD Design and Development (Azure DevOps or equivalent)
- Knowledgeable in Windows, RHEL 8/9, and container platform (preferably OpenShift)
- Familiar with ITIL framework – incident, problem, and change management
- Monitoring, Alerting, and Observability – preferably Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana
- Good knowledge of at least one modern relational database. This combined with either knowledge of or interest in learning the Relational (preferably Oracle and/or MS SQL Server) database, which we rely on. (DDL, DML)
- Experience with Bash and Python
- Automation of maintenance and support activities
- Financial Markets knowledge or certification is a plus
- Experience in handling IT security risk activities is a plus\
