What you'll do
You'll be working with platform and feature teams to develop, build and configure DevOps tools, technologies, techniques, patterns, and processes, and create trusted pipelines of work from development through to production environments utilising high degrees of automation.
You’ll also:
- Contribute to building the DevOps engineering capability, culture and mind-sets within the organisation
- Working with platform and feature teams as SME to develop, build and configure DevOps tools, technologies, techniques, patterns, and processes
- Create trusted pipelines of work from development through to production environments utilising high degrees of automation
- Coach and mentor feature and platform teams to higher levels of DevOps capability, to drive continuous improvements and enhancing the end customer experience
- Support the set up of DevOps methodologies and tools within platform and feature teams and demonstrate technical implementation
- Support the development and establishment of appropriate DevOps
The skills you'll need
You'll need knowledge of the core principles and benefits of DevOps, and knowledge and experience of software engineering and or IT Operations.
You’ll also need:
- 5+ years of proficiency in Python, AWS Cloud, React JS, Dynamo DB, AWS Contact Centre
- Experience and other AWS services such as Lambdas, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Route53
- Knowledge on GitLab and its features (Runners and Build) & hands on experience on IAC Terraforms
- Efficient in writing shell scripts and Linux programming and should have worked on native AWS pipeline services like Code Build, Code Pipeline, CloudFormation
- Experience of common DevOps tools such as CI tools, source code management, deployment, and configuration tooling
- Experience of scripting
- Experience of working within a governed or regulated change framework
- Knowledge and experience of agile ways of working
