What You’ll Do
• Design and manage highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant infrastructure and networking for Skuad’s distributed systems
• Perform configuration management using Terraform, Chef, or Ansible
• Continuously refactor applications to ensure high-quality design
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development teams to streamline code deployment
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (e.g., CI/CD pipelines)
• Collaborate with team members to address functional and non-functional requirements, promoting design philosophy and goals
• Optimize the company’s computing architecture
• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability
• Build tools to reduce errors and improve the customer experience
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
What makes you a great match for us?
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field
Experience:
• 4–9 years as a DevOps Engineer, with a minimum of 1 year working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and Kubernetes
Technical Skills:
• Expertise in code deployment tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, and other CI/CD tools
• Proficient in monitoring and alerting for infrastructure, application logs, and databases using GCP, Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus
• Strong understanding of networking concepts like DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
• Experience with network configuration and optimization for cloud environments
• Skilled in network, server, and application-status monitoring
Programming Skills:
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Node.js, Python, and Go for automation and infrastructure management
• Solid command of software-automation systems like Jenkins and Selenium
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Bash scripting with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in networking and infrastructure contexts
