DevOps Engineer

As Prezzee continues on our global expansion and growth journey, we require a DevOps Engineer to join our team. The Devops Engineer will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining Prezzee’s AWS infrastructure and data pipelines. This is an exciting role where you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse multi account, multi environment, multi regional AWS workload. 

This is a Hybrid role, based in Sydney, NSW or Melbourne, Vic

The Role You’ll Play  

• Maintain and improve existing data platform infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, taking ownership in creating effective and sustainable solutions within a diverse multi-account, multi-environment, multi-regional AWS workload.
• Optimize, tune, and maintain data infrastructure to support high-performance data processing.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team and data team to develop and implement robust data pipeline solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders including the Fraud and Data teams to gather requirements and deliver reliable data pipelines and solutions.
• Design and document data systems solutions, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily using Terraform and Terragrunt, across a multi-cloud, multi-account, multi-environment system.
• Occasionally write small software systems and scripts, often running in Dockerized Lambda environments, to support the infrastructure and data platform.
• Establish and/or improve technical standards, including documentation, to ensure consistency and best practices.

What are we looking for 

• Experience working with Terraform.
• Extensive experience building and maintaining infrastructure and data pipelines in AWS.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design.
• Demonstrable ability to motivate self and others.
• Experience working with technical and non-technical partners, with the capability to influence.
• Experience with Redshift, Postgres, and DynamoDB would be a bonus (but not essential).
