About the Team

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer with a focus on Cloud/Platform engineering to join our Technology Department in Lisbon.

As a DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineer, you'll build and evolve the infrastructure platform that powers our engineering teams across multiple cloud providers. You'll own the automation, networking, Kubernetes platforms, and shared services that enable secure, scalable, and reliable application delivery.

What you'll do

• Build Multi-Cloud Platforms: Design, provision, and operate infrastructure across AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), StackIT, and OpenStack using Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage Kubernetes Platforms: Operate and evolve managed Kubernetes environments, including Amazon EKS and Oracle OKE, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence.
• Platform Automation: Develop reusable infrastructure abstractions using Terraform, Terragrunt, Terramate, and Crossplane (XRDs/Compositions) to enable self-service infrastructure for engineering teams.
• Operate Cloud Services: Deploy and maintain managed cloud services such as Amazon RDS, object storage, networking services, and cloud-native integrations.
• Own Platform Services: Build and operate shared platform components including Kafka, HashiCorp Vault, Kubernetes Operators, ingress controllers, and other foundational services.
• Cloud Networking: Design and maintain secure cloud networking across multiple environments, including VPCs/VNets, routing, peering, load balancers, firewalls, and Layer 4/Layer 7 traffic management.
• Service Mesh & Connectivity: Design and operate service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio) to provide secure service-to-service communication, observability, and traffic management.
• Identity & Access Management: Implement and maintain identity and access solutions using Keycloak, cloud IAM services, and API gateways to provide secure authentication and authorization.
• Platform Security: Embed security into the platform through policy enforcement, least-privilege access, secrets management, and policy-as-code.

About You

• DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineering: 5+ years building and operating cloud infrastructure with strong experience in AWS and exposure to OCI or other cloud providers.
• Infrastructure as Code: Extensive experience with Terraform, including large-scale modular architectures. Experience with Terragrunt and/or Terramate is highly desirable. Experience with Pulumi or AWS CDK is a plus.
• Kubernetes Expertise: Strong operational knowledge of Kubernetes, including managed services such as Amazon EKS and Oracle OKE.
• Kubernetes Internals: Solid understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including Operators, CSI, CNI, scheduling, networking, storage, and lifecycle management.
• Crossplane: Experience building infrastructure abstractions with Crossplane, including Composite Resources (XRDs), Compositions, and provider integrations.
• Cloud Networking: Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, routing, security groups, firewalls, load balancers, service meshes, and hybrid connectivity.
• Service Mesh: Experience deploying and operating Istio or similar service mesh technologies for traffic management, security, and observability.
• Platform Services: Experience operating shared infrastructure services such as Kafka, Vault, ingress controllers, API gateways, and Kubernetes Operators.
• Identity & Security: Good understanding of IAM concepts, authentication and authorization, identity providers such as Keycloak, secrets management, and least-privilege design.
• Automation & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Bash and Python for automation, tooling, and platform operations.
• Policy as Code: Experience implementing governance using technologies such as OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, or cloud-native policy frameworks.
• Cloud Architecture: Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, high availability, disaster recovery, and infrastructure design patterns.
• Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with software engineers, SREs, and security teams to build scalable platform capabilities

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with GitOps tooling such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, or OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
• Experience designing internal developer platforms (IDPs) and self-service infrastructure.
