The mission
In the Financial Markets environment, maintaining control of risk while remaining competitive requires highly reliable and well‑operated platforms. The ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) is a strategic platform that enables real‑time and portfolio‑based risk calculations and supports regulatory and advanced risk analysis needs for Financial Markets.
Within this domain, the Trade Store application plays a key role by enabling uniform pricing and processing of trade portfolios, independent of underlying deal capture systems. The platform is built using modern, distributed, in‑memory technologies and supports global trading and risk users.
As part of the IPA operations team, you will contribute to the stability, availability, and continuous improvement of this critical platform, working in an Agile environment alongside development, operations, and business stakeholders.
Your day to day
Your key responsabilities will include:
Operate and support the Trade Store on a daily basis, a Java‑based, distributed, in‑memory system critical to the IPA platform
Monitor application health, performance, and data quality, responding to alerts and incidents
Handle incidents and participate in root cause analysis for recurring or impactful production issues
Communicate operational status and issues to internal stakeholders, including engineering teams and business users
Implement and maintain automation for deployments, monitoring, and operational checks
Work with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Apply IT Risk and Security controls in line with ING policies and procedures
Contribute to Agile/Scrum delivery cycles, supporting regular releases to acceptance and production environments
Maintain clear and accurate operational documentation using tools such as ServiceNow and Confluence
Be part of an on‑call rotation (around 5 weeks annually) and support weekend release deployments (around 5 weekends annually) for the full IPA platform, including but not limited to Trade Store.
