We are seeking a DevOps Engineer I to join our team. This is a remote opportunity based in Costa Rica.
Job Summary
The DevOps Engineer I will join as a member of the PAS DevOps team. This role is responsible for tooling and systems that support both customer facing PAS appliances, and internal business systems and processes. The Privileged Access Security platform (PAS) offers a highly available and performant connectivity framework that uses SSH (secure shell) to create a connectivity platform for remote support. The appliance also offers advanced auditing capabilities and centralized management for remote access. Our product is mission-critical to our customers, and our success depends on our ability to evolve our product to satisfy new customers while improving stability and maintaining security and quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in a highly collaborative team environment to deliver software and cloud-hosted infrastructure with a "security first" mindset.
- Develop tools and processes to support PAS software delivery.
- Participate in the code and design review process for assigned projects.
- Maintain technical proficiency with the project's toolchain.
- Stay abreast of relevant industry trends and developments.
- Help improve quality, performance, and automation in our software delivery process.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
- 0-1 years in DevOps/SRE/infrastructure roles using DevOps principles.
- Familiar with networking concepts including TCP/IP, HTTPS, SSH, DNS, routing, firewalls.
- Proficiency with Git. Experience working with shared or remote Git repositories (ideally GitHub).
- Familiar with Linux systems administration. Comfortable working in Bash and writing Bash scripts.
- Some experience with Docker is required. Kubernetes experience would be a big plus.
- Exposure to Amazon AWS (S3 and EC2). AWS automation with the CLI or SDK would be a big plus.
- Experience programming Go or other strongly typed language (Rust, Java, C, C++).
- Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, RPM packaging, and YUM repositories.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
