Department OverviewThe Video Devices Teams in the R&D center in Krakow have been growing dynamically since 2019. Currently, we have more than 60 specialists on board working on solutions for fixed and mobile (body-worn) cameras. We bring advanced video capabilities to public safety and commercial customers including healthcare, airports, retail, critical infrastructure, and public venues.
Job Description
The Krakow Camera Firmware team is currently seeking a technical manager who will lead our small team of cybersecurity engineers and take their contributions to the organization to the next level. The individual will have full responsibility for the cybersecurity practices across the entire Fixed Video Firmware Organization worldwide, as well as the planning and execution of the cybersecurity initiatives to further certify our product portfolio externally. The key skills in this role are technical experience in the cybersecurity field and leadership allowing one to bridge the different understanding levels and expectations both within and outside of the MSI organization.
Responsibilities include:
Partner with cross-functional teams within and outside of MSI on the cybersecurity scope agreement, delivery timeline, and certification needs.
Lead a group of highly skilled cybersecurity experts, providing them with support on the day-to-day work as well as future professional growth.
Define the metrics and use them to track and report the status of ongoing initiatives.
Defines and promotes practices and processes for the engineering organization - tracks implementation status.
Lead and contribute technically to the product compliance assessments and certifications
Actively support the definition of the relevant information assurance security requirements.
Basic Requirements
Background in software/firmware team leadership, either as a manager or technical lead
Demonstrated hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering (e.g., threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, secure firmware development, or penetration testing)
Experience with embedded/IoT security, firmware hardening, or device-level cryptographic implementations preferred
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities, identify risks/issues, formulate recommendations, and drive sound decisions that deliver results
English language that allows efficient communication.
Education at the college/university level in a technical field (Engineering/IT/Mathematics/Physics).
Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, or GIAC family) are a plus
