Leidos is seeking a DevOps / Cloud Architect – Systems Engineer to support CDC DHP cloud-based analytics, modernization, and operational sustainment initiatives. This role provides technical leadership for cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, deployment processes, monitoring, and operational readiness supporting EDAV, Databricks, Azure, and related environments. The successful candidate will help ensure reliable, scalable, and secure operation of modern and legacy analytical environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead cloud architecture, infrastructure, automation, and DevOps activities.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Support cloud-based analytics and data management environments.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions.
- Support monitoring, performance optimization, security, and operational readiness.
- Assist with modernization initiatives and phased migration activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, governance, and operations teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience supporting cloud architecture, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or systems engineering.
- Experience with Azure cloud environments and DevOps practices.
- Experience supporting CI/CD, automation, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting and systems engineering skills.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting CDC, HHS, or public health analytics environments.
- Experience with EDAV (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, R Studio, PowerBI, Tableau), 1CDP (Palantir Foundry), Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting migration from SAS to other analytics solutions (e.g., R, Python, Databricks, Palantir Foundry).
- Experience supporting modernization, migration, and cloud adoption initiatives.
- Experience with Kubernetes, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code technologies.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), or equivalent certifications.
