DevOps Analyst

Position Summary/Objective

As a DevOps Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting our development and operations teams by automating and optimizing our infrastructure and deployment processes. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

As a valued member of the innovative and collaborative OSV technology team, the DevOps Analyst will:

• Work with a small team of DevOps engineers and ensure 24x7 availability of OSV production application systems
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments.
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Red Hat Linux server environments.
• Install, manage, and maintain MySQL Server and SQL*Server databases.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate Azure DevOps for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Perform basic system configuration and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation of our infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. Familiarity with SolarWinds is a plus.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role will not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, MySQL Server, and SQL*Server.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of basic system configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with YAML in the context of Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
