About the Role: 
We are seeking a motivated Development Specialist Intern to join our StrongPay engineering team. In this role, you’ll work closely with experienced developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs, as well as assist with user interface (UI) updates across our platforms. This internship provides hands-on experience in real-world software development processes and the opportunity to learn best practices in coding, debugging, and collaborative product development.

Responsibilities: 
  • · Assist developers with identifying and resolving bugs across web and mobile applications. 
  • · Collaborate with the team to implement UI updates, enhancements, and refinements based on design specs or QA feedback. 
  • · Test features and bug fixes across multiple devices and browsers to ensure functionality and responsiveness. 
  • · Document bugs, fixes, and technical changes in issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub Issues). 
  • · Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews as appropriate. 
  • · Support version control processes (e.g., using Git) and follow standard commit and pull request protocols. 
  • · Conduct basic QA testing and provide feedback to the development team. 
  • · Stay current with front-end and back-end development best practices.

Qualifications: 
  • · Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
  • · Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue. 
  • · Basic understanding of back-end development (Node.js, Python, etc.) is a plus. 
  • · Experience with version control tools such as Git/GitHub. 
  • · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate clearly. 
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced development environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): 
  • · Experience with UI/UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD). 
  • · Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes. 
  • · Exposure to bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello). 
  • · Understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design.
