Position: Development Engineer 4
Experience: 8 to 12 years
Job Location: Chennai Tamil Nadu
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct penetration testing (Web, Network, API, Mobile) to identify vulnerabilities
- Perform vulnerability assessments on systems, applications, and infrastructure
- Simulate cyberattacks using manual and automated techniques
- Identify, exploit, and document security weaknesses
- Prepare detailed security reports with risk ratings and remediation steps
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to address findings
- Perform red teaming exercises and security audits where required
- Develop scripts/tools for automated testing
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and attack techniques
- Ensure testing aligns with OWASP, NIST, and compliance frameworks
Penetration testers typically simulate attacks, identify weaknesses, and recommend security improvements to strengthen defenses
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Operating Systems (Linux, Windows)
- Web application architecture
- Experience with tools such as:
- Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, OWASP ZAP
- Understanding of:
- OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
- Authentication and access control mechanisms
