Position Summary:   

The Development Database Coordinator is responsible for consistently monitoring and producing data reports in the donor and gift database, Raiser’s Edge; auditing the data structure, use, and input from various sources and programs. 

The ideal candidate must have a high-level attention to detail and database logic. Candidates must be flexible and comfortable working in a team environment. 

 

Responsibilities:  

 

  • Maintain overall quality and integrity of the Raisers Edge database, including working with Raisers Edge support staff to troubleshoot problems with the database and staying current with updates to the system. 

  • Maintain highly accurate and current donor data that effectively tracks key information, cultivation activities and histories, and solicitation and reporting calendars. 

  • Monitor all gift input in Raiser’s Edge to ensure proper gift coding. 

  • Monitor all new record creation after direct mail acquisition campaigns. 

  • Produce segmented donor reports. 

  • Perform data cleanup projects. 

  • Monitor Raiser’s Edge structure and procedures. 

  • Oversee and maintain relationship and information flow between multiple software programs to ensure maximum usage and recordkeeping. 

  • Learn and become proficient in all department software: Raiser’s Edge, SalesForce, MS Office. 

  • Keep up to date with all fundraising initiatives to ensure proper structure, input and analysis reporting. 

  • Maintain highly accurate and current donor data that effectively tracks key information, cultivation activities and histories, and solicitation and reporting calendars  

  • Work with the Director Of Development to establish and maintain best practices and procedures. 

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue reports, weekly report recaps, and reports for the Development Committee and Board of Directors. 

  • Reconcile gifts with the Finance Department. 

  • Respond to requests from other Development and executive staff for updates to the database and fundraising reports. 

  • Create and generate various financial and dashboard reports for the Development Department, as well as other staff. 

  • Generate various mailing lists for the Development Department and other staff. 

  • Generate timely acknowledgment letters to donors (within 48 hours of receipt of gift)  

  • Establish and codify database best practices. 

  • Work effectively as a member of multiple project teams. 

  • Follow a strict code of confidentiality. 

Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required). 

  • Knowledge of and experience in Raiser’s Edge 7 (preferred) and Microsoft Office (required). 

  • Flexible and willing to acquire new or shift responsibilities. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Excellent communication and excellent customer service skills. 

  • Possess a high level of organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
