Position: The Development Data Manager is responsible for the overall management, integrity, and optimization of the organization's donor database to support fundraising, donor stewardship, and organizational reporting. This position serves as the primary administrator for the donor management system, ensuring accurate gift processing, donor record maintenance, data analysis, and reporting. Working collaboratively with the Development and Finance teams, this role provides essential operational support for fundraising campaigns, special events, grants, and donor engagement while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Database Management:

· Serve as the primary administrator of the organization's donor database related to Blackbaud EXT, Raiser’s Edge, GiveSmart, Cognito Forms and other internet-based technology used by Development and Administrators the position supports.

· Manage all donor and constituent records, ensuring complete, accurate, and up-to-date information. nic donor records and updating information as needed. Maintain accurate donor profiles, including giving history, relationships, communication preferences, contact information, and engagement activities.

· Maintain database integrity by identifying duplicate records, correcting inconsistencies, and implementing quality assurance measures.

· Establish and maintain database policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational standards.

· Creating lists, reports and spreadsheets for donor reports, mailings, benchmarking, financial tracking, etc.

· Manage user access, permissions, security settings, imports, exports, backups, and ongoing system maintenance.

· Coordinate data integration between fundraising platforms, event software, online giving platforms, and third-party applications.


· Preparing, sending, and storing paper and/or electronic donor and constituent correspondence (e.g. Thank you letters, e-blasts, targeted in-house group mailings, etc.).

· Performing duties as assigned for all development activities, including special events that may occur occasionally after normal business hours.

· Organizing and completing tasks in a timely manner – effectively manages time and sets priorities according to team and agency needs.

· Recognizing and solving problems that occur within areas of responsibility with minimal supervision.

· Provide database and administrative support for fundraising events, including

registrations, sponsorship tracking, seating assignments, guest lists, name badges, and attendee reporting.

· Generate reports measuring event attendance, donor participation, sponsorships, and fundraising outcomes.

· Assist with mailing list for annual appeals, online giving campaigns, fundraising, and donor stewardship initiatives.

· Collaborate with development staff to support donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and moves management strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: starting at $50,000.00 per year

Qualifications

Qualifications must include, but are not limited to:

· Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education and work experience with at least two-year experience in related field.

· Experience and proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 programs, including; SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Blackbaud EXT.

· Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

· Ability to successfully perform multiple concurrent tasks.

· Experience using and deep understanding of donor management systems, like Blackbaud NXT or similar programs, and other data management systems.

· Ability to work flexible hours when necessary, including some evenings and weekends.

· Meet physical demands of occasionally lifting and moving items, including equipment and supplies needed for events and material donations received.

· Equivalent combination of education and nonprofit database management experience may be considered.

Minimal travel required.

Skills Required

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • At least two years of experience in a related field
