You will be an ideal candidate if you have:
- 7+ years of RPG development on IBM i-Platform
- Strong knowledge of RPG IV, RPGLE, Free-Format RPG, and DDS
- Proficient with DB2 for i and SQL on the IBM i platform
- Solid understanding of the IBM i operating system and architecture
- Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with source-control / change-management tools (e.g. ARCAD)
- Experience using VS Code
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Are you someone who can:
- Analyze, design, code, test, and implement complex enhancements and new modules in RPG (ILE / Free-Format)
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing applications on the IBM i-platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, QA, Infrastructure) to gather and understand system requirements
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership
- Document technical specifications and system changes
- Support users and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Contribute to modernization initiatives including web services (REST/SOAP), APIs, and integration with modern platforms
