Developer, SR (Salesforce)

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Developer, Senior (Salesforce) for our client.

This is a work-from-home opportunity. 

The Challenge

• The CARMA Enhancements team supports mission-critical capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs within the Patient Care product line. As a Developer, SR (Salesforce), you will help deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the full software lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate mission needs into measurable outcomes, manage technical and delivery risks, and support high-quality releases. The work supports CARMA enhancements and requires practical Salesforce knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and/or develop Salesforce solutions, integrations, data models, security, automation, and user experiences aligned to business needs.
• Translate requirements into scalable Salesforce architecture, objects, flows, Apex, Lightning components, reports, and dashboards as appropriate.
• Apply Salesforce platform governance, release-management, testing, data-quality, and deployment best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, testers, administrators, integration teams, and the Architect team to deliver and support enhancements.
• Document configuration, technical decisions, data flows, test evidence, and support procedures.

Must Have

• 10+ years of Salesforce platform experience in development, architecture, administration, or a combination.
• Experience with Salesforce data models, security, automation, integrations, deployment, and testing.
• Working knowledge of Apex, SOQL, Lightning, Flow, or equivalent Salesforce platform capabilities as applicable to the role.
• Salesforce platform knowledge, including data model, security, automation, integrations, and release practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV where applicable.

Nice If You Have

• Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs, federal health IT, or other regulated healthcare programs.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, GitHub, Salesforce DX, Microsoft 365, and collaborative Agile delivery tools.
• Salesforce certification such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, or Application Architect.
