SimCorp is a leading supplier of highly specialized software and expertise for financial institutions and corporations. Our main product SimCorp Dimension is a modular system that offers a complete
solution for the investment management of banks, asset managers and insurance companies. The basis for our complex software is comprehensive financial services know-how and a very good understanding of the individual requirements of our customers.
What you will be responsible for
Debugging C# & APL code, coding suitable fixes for crashes and erroneous code. Provide high quality code solutions to fix existing functionality.
Work with business consultants and other developers to evaluate and solve customers' issues.
Assist business consultants to answer questions by understanding how the existing code works.
Investigating system performance issues raised by clients in relation to C# & APL modules & resolving these issues to prevent system failures – also focusing on the broader code, this is NOT a pure C# developer role.
Replicating issues observed by clients in internal installations (for debugging/analysis purposes etc).
Dealing directly with product support, clients onsite, via phone, remote connections, etc.
Be an important interface between the Support teams and the Central Product Department.
What we value
3-5+ years of C#, .Net experience including Winforms.
Experience supporting desktop applications
Good understanding of a functional programming language like APL, F# or Haskell would be beneficial.
Knowledge of the .NET framework and object-oriented programming design principles
Tracing and debugging skills.
Experience with common debugging tools.
Good insightful and problem-solving skills.
Able and willing to read, understand and analyze complex code.
Curiosity and willingness to gain and apply a broad knowledge in different areas and consistently expand your horizons.
Interested and able to work with complex architecture, both front- and back-end.
You are someone who often collaborates with others to discover the best solutions, while also being capable of working alone when necessary
Able to work in a time-sensitive setting and coordinate multiple interests simultaneously.
Knowledge or high interest in financial issues - theoretical as well as practical is beneficial.
