About this role
The Aladdin Studio team is focused on developing a world-class digital experience which will help developers of all types build faster and more effectively on Aladdin. We are evolving the Studio Developer platform as an integrated digital application where you can discover data, build your own financial apps, and access industry-leading content, documentation and insight – with all of this delivered via a design-forward and client-centric experience.
As a team lead within the Studio Developer Operations team, you will lead a team that is responsible for interacting, engaging and solving problems for some of the most technically sophisticated users of Aladdin. Our team is also responsible for delivering the monitoring, logging, alerting and observability framework of Studio Developer to ensure our product is scalable and resilient as we enter a period of significant growth.
What will you be doing?
- Leading and mentoring a talented team who are responsible for supporting and delivering the Studio Developer platform.
- Enhancing and owning our platform observability framework by refining and deploying telemetry based alerting and corresponding Incident and Problem Management processes.
- Defining, implementing and ensuring accountability for platform wide Service Level Agreements (SLAs) through monitoring and measuring platform availability, performance, and overall health.
- Own and build regional relationships with key internal and external clients.
- Partner with our Engineering, Product and Program Management teams in supporting the growth of our product and platform.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 7+ years of experience working in and leading Platform Operations, Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps teams.
- Proven experience building, managing and supporting large-scale platforms.
- Significant hands-on experience deploying and owning observability platform tooling: SPLUNK / Prometheus / Grafana / AppDynamics.
- Experience with coding and programming using Python / GO.
- Experience with container technologies: Kubernetes / AKS.
- Experience automating workflows and familiarity with AIOps concepts.
- Experience in leading a team and is comfortable in providing technical mentorship.
