Role Summary:
The Dev Ops Engineer will work in security focused development operations, managing Dev Ops tools for code management, deployment, and security, supporting other GTT systems as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily application and server monitoring utilizing various means with an emphasis on InfluxDB and Grafana.
- Utilize shell and scripting languages in various scenarios for backend development systems support. (Bash, Python, PHP, etc.)
- Perform patch management tasks as both automated runs as well as manual patching for the systems we manage and the applications running on them. (Ansible)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose existing problems with development and corporate applications.
- Support the NOS and NMS development teams in the resolution of more complex applications issues when raised by the business.
- Provide ad-hoc support to Business Applications projects requiring SDLC and CI/CD assistance.
- Maintain corporate code repository and deployment applications (Gitlab, Jenkins)
- Assist in vulnerability management and resolution and interact with Cyber Security and Systems Engineering on tracking of issues.
- Suggest improvements to procedures and infrastructure where possible.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in security focused development operations
- 3+ years of experience supporting development teams
- Knowledge of DNS platforms, Radius platforms, Kubernetes container platforms

- Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
- Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
