As an IT Desktop Systems Specialist, you will play a crucial role in partnering and consulting with the business to address IT-related needs onsite at our Carlsbad, California, Location.
The Opportunity
You will collaborate closely with various IT teams to drive towards effective and efficient solutions. Set priorities for IT projects and engage appropriate teams. Manages day-to-day IT activities, ensuring seamless operations and addressing any IT-related issues promptly. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical employees. Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues in a heterogeneous environment. Participates in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects. May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications. Will be working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. Works independently within guidelines and policies and receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and provides functional guidance.

You will act as a digital enabler for our business colleagues and functions and be the owner of the digital employee experience for the respective site.

You drive employee productivity through consultancy, provide intimacy and site proximity at the sites, and ensure a personalized employee experience.

You manage IT hardware lifecycle management & deskside support for the site and provide support and guidance for onsite services by leveraging internal and external providers.

Presents complex technical information to a non-technical audience in a clear and easy to understand manner. Takes ownership of incidents and acts decisively to ensure our customers maintain IT productivity.

Provides 2nd level technical resolution in person or via remote for field based employees for hardware: computers, desktops, smartphones, tablets and mobile devices.

Your qualifications and experience:

You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

A bachelor's degree in IT is preferred

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $69,300-$128,700. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
