The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a continuing requirement for Homeland Enterprise Information Technology Secure Services & Support (HEITS) for the continual operations and maintenance and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN).
Leidos is seeking a broadly experienced candidate to provide Tier 1 and 2 Desktop Support for multiple domains with users locally and remotely, with excellent communication skills and the ability to support VIP and VVIP customers. This position will work with Active Directory and Exchange to create/modify/terminate accounts, as well as troubleshoot workstations, printers, and other peripheral devices. Additional responsibilities include imaging, installing, and configuring workstations and troubleshooting Windows 10 and above and Microsoft Office suite for standard workstations and Secureview workstations. Candidates should be interested in learning new technology and providing support to the user community.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Communicating and interfacing with customers and Leidos Site Lead on issues and daily tasking.
Providing Tier 1 and 2 support for multiple domains with users locally and remotely.
Working with Active Directory and Exchange to create, modify and terminate accounts.
Troubleshooting workstations, printers, and other peripheral devices.
Imaging, installing, and configuring workstations, including virtual machine operations.
Troubleshooting Windows 10 and above, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
Learning new technology and providing support to the user community as well as issuing and maintaining Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) tokens.
Working with automated Help Desk tools such as Microsoft System Center, Remedy, and ServiceNow.
Troubleshooting Citrix desktop virtualization environment and thin client.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience will be considered.
Strong problem solving and organizational skills and able to work in a professional environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI
Preferred Qualifications
DHS or other government contract experience.
Knowledge of HEITS processes.
Comfortable discussing technical information with users and other support personnel.
Ability to quickly learn new systems and IT concepts.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability to work autonomously as well as an integral member of a team.
